Bo'Darc Fiddlin Lucy

Lucy was a near full sister to Bo’Darc Dixie Fiddle.  They were both out of the same female, Ace’s Black Pepper; their sires were full brothers.  Lucy, being the daughter of Rail’s Little Jake, gave me what I hoped be many more crosses back to him.  Unfortunately, Lucy died at a very early age.  She was bred once before she died.  She was bred to Bo’Darc Elhew Tex, the littermate brother of Bo’Darc Fiddllin Rail.  This mating of Tex to Lucy produced a multiple NSTRA Champion, but more importantly to me, Lucy gave me Bo’Darc Fiddlin Wendy.
When I first acquired Lucy, as a yearling, she was a little “backwards” to say the least.  She had the appearance of being treated with a “heavy hand’.  If you told her whoa, she would end up on her belly, quickly.  I took my time with her and re-taught what whoa meant using unconventional methods and did not use the words whoa.  I was able to get her coming along nicely then as soon as I was able to start shooting birds over her, she came on like gang-busters.  I am grateful for her contribution to this kennel, I just wished it could have been more.
