Cricket
has turned out to make a
very
nice gun dog. The fall /winter
of 2004-2005 was her first year in the field and she did a
remarkable job for me. Cricket is a natural backer and retriever coupled with a VERY
strong nose. She applies herself very well in the field in search of
game and learned very quick to hunt the objectives.
Cricket is just easy. She was easy to train and is an easy keeper. I have never even heard this dog bark. She is blessed with an immense drive, heart, bottom and desire to find game, cleverly packaged in this laid back dog. |

Cricket was started here with me and then finished by my good friend Kenny Crosswhite. She has seen alot of birds; both wild and released, as I used her on some guided hunts for a couple of years. The picture above was taken at a guided hunt on released birds. The picture to the right is on a wild bird hunt. Cricket is a dog MOST definitely worth breeding. She has all that I am looking for in a "breeder"; bird finding ability, strength of nose, style, trainability, intelligence, natural instincts and genetics. Speaking of genetics, Cricket's dam was bred and raised here at Bo'Darc Kennel and is a littermate sister to my Bo'Darc Phantom Delivery. Cricket is due to whelp anytime now, today is 12-22-08. She is bred to Bo'Darc Dixie Delivery and sadly this will be Dave's final litter. Dave had a rough go with some seizures a week or so ago and didn't make it. It is very sad to think that not only did my friend loose such a wonderful companion and gun dog, but I also lost maybe the best thing I'd just found. The positive here is that I have kept back several outstanding offspring from Dave that will forever make a difference in the future of this kennel.
