Puppies are THE highlight at Bo’Darc Kennel.  The kids can’t wait for the new litter and then when the pups get a little older, they invite all their friends over to play with them.  Socialization is so very critical for pups in order for them to achieve everything God intended for them to be.  With all the kids playing with our pups, they can’t help but be socialized!

Because we raise so few litters, individual personalization and socialization is the norm around here.  This is a KEY element to having an exceptional gun dog.  Every outstanding gun dog has two things in common...good genetics and a good environment.  Most of the environment is given by each dog's respective owner, but they get a GREAT START right here!!!

The Bio-Sensor/Superdog method is used, starting at day three, for every pup that is raised at Bo'Darc Kennel.

One of the protocols I have for my bred females is to allow them opportunities to point some birds while they are carrying their pups.  I prefer to have females bred during bird season so that they can be hunted while they are pregnant.  I don’t hunt them the last two or three weeks of their pregnancy as for fear of them injuring themselves.

Not all the females come in heat during the fall to allow me to hunt them during bird season, so for the off season bred females, I take them to the training field and allow them to point some pen raised quail or pigeons.  I do this with the female restrained on a checkcord so I can keep her from over exerting herself.  Using the checkcord, I will allow them to point birds up to their last week of pregnancy.  It is my belief that whatever sensation and stimulation the female is experiencing while being on point, her pups are experiencing similar stimuli as well, during this pointing session.  There are some who disagree with this notion, and that’s fine, they can do with their dogs as they see fit.  As for me, I will continue to let them be bird dogs while they are pregnant, if nothing else the exercise is doing them some good!

ANNOUNCEMENT:

I just recently re-discovered a male that I thought was long dead and gone, just like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, one of Bo'Darc's own has returned to their motherland.  His registered name is Bo'Darc Dixie Delivery, better known as "Dave."  Click here for more information on Dave.  I will be breeding almost exclusively to Dave for the next few matings.  Opportunities like this don't happen that often for me, so I will be taking advantage of this while I can.

"Dave" & Mike.....Mike's the one wearing the hat!

All pups are priced according to litter.   Go to litter pages above for pricing.  A $100 non-refundable deposit required for reservation.  The order for choosing pups is dictated by the order that the deposits are received.

Please understand that not all of the pups from a litter will be available.  I breed these dogs for my own purposes and needs.  According to whatever that need may be at the time of a litter's birth,  this need will then determine how many pups I will keep for myself.  I reserve the right to sell or keep as many of my pups as I choose.  Some have the misunderstanding that their $100 deposit gives them full rights to any pup in a litter or to pups residing at the kennel.  Please...Fully Understand...that is not how it works at this kennel.  Shortly after the arrival of a litter, I will advise those with deposit's,  how many and what pups will be available to choose from, but that can change as well due to unforeseeable and/or unfortunate situations.
